Cel Mates
In 2022, we worked with a team organised by mcbess and released a NFT collection called Cel Mates —an animation cel pun for inmates in a fictional prison, the Steel Hose. The NFT project was about the art, but I began writing stories about the prison and its characters. Initially, this was to build the lore project and entertain the team developing the NFT collection; after the collection launched, I continued writing for the Discord community's entertainment. "Night at the Steel Hose" was written and published in episodes. At the conclusion of the first story, the narrative style changed to a choose-your-own-adventure style, a challenging task with interesting results and measurable engagement.
